The beauty and reality TV worlds are mourning the loss of Jasen Kaplan, a renowned gay celebrity makeup artist and former Finding Prince Charming star, who died in New York City on December 31, 2025, at the age of 46.
Kaplan passed away shortly before midnight on New Year’s Eve. Authorities confirmed the cause of death as suicide, resulting from blunt impact injuries.
Kaplan was a titan of the beauty world for over 20 years. He was the artist behind the signature looks of Kelly Osbourne, Bethenny Frankel, Eva Longoria, and Cyndi Lauper.
He gained national fame as an out-and-proud contestant on the 2016 Logo TV series Finding Prince Charming, the first all-gay reality dating competition.
