A creative force defined by reinvention, Patel built a global brand celebrated for its joyful, confident spirit. As an openly gay leader, his impact extended far beyond the runway; he was a champion for authenticity, leading with a radical honesty that inspired many to step into their own light.
In his final weeks, Patel demonstrated characteristic courage by sharing his severe health battle with vaping-related lung inflammation.
Following a period in an induced coma with dangerously low oxygen levels, he used his remaining time to warn his community about the hidden risks of vaping.
He leaves behind a legacy of creative excellence and the profound reminder to live, lead, and design with an open heart.
