Nicolas Keenan and Rob Jetten with surrogate mom, Lisa
Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten and his fiancé, Argentine field hockey player Nicolás Keenan, have announced they are expecting their first child through surrogacy.
The couple shared the happy news on Instagram alongside an ultrasound photo, captioned with the message, “Someone very special is on the way. See you in 2027, little one!”
Representatives for Jetten’s D66 party confirmed that the surrogacy arrangement is strictly altruistic rather than commercial, with both the surrogate mother and the egg donor being Dutch nationals and personal friends of the couple who already have children of their own. Jetten and Keenan have been in a relationship since 2022 and previously announced their engagement in November 2024.
