The upcoming gay romantic drama Forty Love directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, brings high-stakes tension, intense emotional friction, and a heated rivalry straight to the tennis court.
Billed as an exciting entry in gay sports romance, the film stars Paul Kircher (as tennis prodigy Sacha Gallo) alongside Romeo Beckham in his feature-film acting debut, performing alongside a prominent supporting cast that features Guillaume Canet, Benjamin Voisin, and a special appearance by French cinema icon Catherine Deneuve.
Exploring the combustible mix of professional ambition and deep personal desire, the story is set against the polished, high-pressure backdrop of competitive tennis, following two athletes whose fierce rivalry on the court slowly morphs into an intense, complex romance fraught with emotional stakes.
Regarding its release, the film made its theatrical debut in France on November 25. However, a formal U.S. release or streaming platform has not yet been officially announced, meaning domestic fans will have to stay tuned as distributors pick up rights for North American streaming following its initial global rollout.
(Be sure not to confuse it with the 2021 unrelated comedy-sports film “40-Love” starring Jasjit Williams, which is currently available on platforms like Prime Video, Tubi, and The Roku Channel.)
