The FBI just released photos of a person of interest in the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University.
Authorities are appealing to the public for help in identifying the individual.
The investigation has also made progress with the recovery of what is believed to be the murder weapon. A high-powered, bolt-action rifle was found in a wooded area near the campus, where the shooter is thought to have fled. The weapon and other evidence, including footwear and palm imprints, are currently being analyzed by the FBI.
The agency has stated that they have “good video footage” of the suspect, who they believe to be of college age and who blended in with the crowd.
