What do you get when you mix a clothing-optional gay resort, a mysterious invitation, and a body count? The answer is Tim O’Leary’s highly anticipated horror-comedy series, Laid Bare, currently wrapping up production at the iconic Desert Paradise Resort Hotel in Palm Springs.
From the writer-director of Demonhuntr, Laid Bare is poised to deliver a unique blend of “dark humor and camp with edge-of-your-seat suspense.” The series promises to delve into the gay experience within the horror-comedy genre, offering a fresh and titillating take on the “whodunit.”
The official logline sets the stage for the eight-episode series: “Laid Bare is a scripted queer thriller following ten men who arrive at a gay resort after receiving a mysterious invitation. When guests start turning up dead, long-held secrets are laid bare and nothing (and no one!) is as it seems.”
A Star-Studded Suspect ListThe series boasts an impressive ensemble cast of familiar faces, any of whom could be the killer—or the next victim. O’Leary himself has playfully described the production as “Clue meets The CW meets Falcon Studios,” hinting at a blend of classic mystery, youthful drama, and adult entertainment vibes. The cast includes:
-
Jason Caceres (Open To It, Boy Culture: Generation X)
-
Ethan Daniel Corbett (Youthful Daze)
-
Michael Deni (T-Rex Ranch)
-
Ephraim López (9-1-1)
-
Marval Rex (House Of Abraham)
-
Robert Rice (Miracle Workers)
-
Alex Ringler (Bros)
-
Zack Rocklin-Waltch (When They Look, I’m Gone)
-
Jaymes Hayden Rodriguez(Come Clean)
-
Nicolas Zuluaga(Dominated By My Dad’s Boss)
The cast has been actively documenting their time on set in Palm Springs, providing fans with a steady stream of behind-the-scenes photos, both in and out of the pool, fueling anticipation for the series’ release.
Coming Soon to OUTtvWhile an official premiere date for Laid Bare has not yet been announced, O’Leary recently confirmed that filming is “almost complete.” This suggests that the series could debut on OUTtv sometime in late 2025 or early 2026.
Laid Bare is part of OUTtv’s broader new programming slate, which also includes a second season of the reality satire mockumentary Drag House Rules and the new series DIY Dungeon, an X-rated take on home renovation. Fans can look forward to a compelling blend of queer storytelling, mystery, and (of course) nudity when Laid Bare makes its debut.
