Out Olympian Gus Kenworthy spoke to Vanguard, the LA LGBTQ Center’s quarterly magazine, about why he decided to participate in an underwear campaign benefiting the Center, the vitriol hurled at him during the Winter Olympics and his commitment to becoming an LGBT activist.
He concludes: “I’m proud to be from a country where I can speak up and where organizations like the Center can exist. Together, we’ll continue to be a voice in the LGBT movement for those who can’t. Because doing anything otherwise is un-American.”
