Scene from “It Gets Worse”
Written, created by, and starring comedian Leo Reich, the A24 British comedy series It Gets Worse is set against the chaotic backdrop of contemporary London and arrives in the U.S. on Paramount+ on November 6.
The series follows a messy, unapologetically queer group of twenty-something friends navigating the hilarious and often harrowing realities of modern LGBTQ+ life, from messy hookup culture and dating apps to the absurd anxieties of finding community and meaning in a cynical world.
Alongside Reich as Ethan, the main ensemble cast features Emily Fairn as Abi, Olive Gray as Sam, Sean Delaney, Dane Williams, India Mullen, and John Tothill, rounded out by standout guest appearances from Andrew Scott, Lena Dunham, and Amelia Dimoldenberg.
Blending sharp confessional humor with unfiltered queer perspectives and absurd dark comedy, the show offers a devastatingly funny look at contemporary identity that critics have praised as a brilliantly original piece of work.
