The Los Angeles LGBT Center – the world’s largest LGBTQ+ organization – together with Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization, will host a nonpartisan California Gubernatorial Forum on Monday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. PT at the Center’s Renberg Theatre in Hollywood.
The event will be one of the earliest and most substantive gubernatorial conversations focused on LGBTQ+ voters and the issues shaping California’s future.
The forum will convene six gubernatorial candidates to address topics critical to California’s LGBTQ+ community, including public safety, healthcare access, housing, education, and civil rights.
List of confirmed participants include: Xavier Becerra, Eric Swalwell, Katie Porter, Tom Steyer Antonio Villaraigosa, and Betty Yee. The conversation will be moderated by Dustin Gardiner of Politico, along with an additional moderator to be announced.
The forum comes at a time when LGBTQ+ communities are under attack — from healthcare to civil rights. Topics will give a scope of understanding of how gubernatorial candidates will approach their strategies to lead California, and stand up for its residents.
The event takes place on Monday, March 2, 7:00-9:00 p.m. at The Renberg Theatre, The Village at Ed Gould Plaza | 1125 N McCadden Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90028
