Trust the Man is shaping up to feature a powerhouse ensemble. Gay icons Victor Garber, Jonathan Groff, and Boots star Angus O’Brien are teaming up for the upcoming war thriller, joined by longtime LGBTQ ally Daniel Radcliffe.
Directed by Will Graham, the film shifts the lens to the turbulent backdrop of the Vietnam War. The plot centers on an ambitious Army Intelligence officer tasked with investigating a decorated soldier who harbors a cryptic history.
What begins as a routine military inquiry rapidly devolves into a high-voltage psychological battle; as questioning and surveillance intensify, the boundaries between professional duty, loyalty, and dangerous obsession blur into an uncontrollable, high-stakes relationship.
The project brings together a compelling mix of powerhouse screen and stage talent. Angus O’Brien steps back into military fatigues following his breakout role in the fan-favorite series Boots, while Jonathan Groff and Daniel Radcliffe reunite on screen after sharing magnetic chemistry in the Tony Award-winning Broadway revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Merrily We Roll Along.
