100% Volunteer-Run: Downtown LA’s Big Queer Weekend Returns
DTLA Proud returns for its 11th annual celebration from Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30, 2026.
The volunteer-led festival kicks off Friday night with 21+ opening parties at Downtown LA nightlife venues, followed by a free, all-ages Community Picnic in the Park on Saturday at LA State Historic Park featuring music, local food, art, and community showcases.
The weekend culminates Sunday at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes with the main DTLA Proud Festival and SUMMERTRAMP outdoor water party, packed with live performances, drag, DJs, local vendors, and an “Activist Alley” resource hub.
Because DTLA Proud is entirely volunteer-run with no paid staff, 100% of festival proceeds are directly reinvested into local LGBTQ+ artists, performers, and year-round community programming in Downtown LA.
