Lucy & La Mer
In honor of Bi+ Visibility Week, the City of West Hollywood will fly the Bisexual+ Pride flag along Santa Monica Boulevard and at City Hall, illuminating the boulevard’s iconic lanterns in the flag’s vibrant colors. As part of this celebration, the City is co-sponsoring two flagship events highlighting bi+ art, advocacy, and humor.
The festivities begin on Saturday, September 19, 2026, with the Write Us In Summit, hosted by Rewrite the BiLine from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the West Hollywood Council Chambers (625 N. San Vicente Blvd.). This free public gathering celebrates bi+ and polyamorous storytelling across film, television, music, and the arts. The event opens with a live performance by singer-songwriter Lucy & La Mer, whose bi+ anthem Palm Springs was considered on the 2025 GRAMMY® first-round ballot.
Prominent advocate, writer, and OUT100 honoree Rose Montoya will emcee the evening, which features a keynote address by Christina Fialho – attorney, founder of Rewrite the BiLine, and co-author of the first industry guide on bi+ screen representation.
The summit panel boasts a distinguished lineup of speakers, including artist and Black Lives Matter co-founder Patrisse Cullors, comedy creator Capri Campeau, creative director Aaron Hammersley, and podcast host Tracy E. Gilchrist.
The evening will culminate in the presentation of the inaugural Write Us In Award by Councilmember Chelsea Lee Byers, Christina Fialho, and Aaron Hammersley to a surprise honoree.
While admission is free, space is limited, and guests are requested to RSVP at writeusin.eventbrite.com.
The celebration continues on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. with the Bi+ Pride Week Comedy Show at Hotel Ziggy (8462 West Sunset Blvd.). Co-produced by the Los Angeles Bi+ Task Force and amBi Los Angeles, the showcase features sets from top bi, pan, and queer comedians, including Rob Cohen, Miho Fuji, Luis Galilei, Ever Mainard, Audrey Stewart, Laurie Lynn, and Caleb Zeringue.
