FX’s Gen-Z/millennial comedy Adults returned for its 8-episode second season on Hulu and FX on August 27, 2026, centering queer fluidity and modern identity directly within its story.
Created by Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw, Season 2 picks up in Queens following Season 1’s green-card marriage chaos, following housemates Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Paul Baker (Jack Innanen), Issa (Amita Rao), and Anton (Owen Thiele) as they navigate corporate cringe, room swaps, and multi-player friendship tensions.
Rather than making coming out a dramatic plot point, the series treats queer life as an integrated norm. Anton (Owen Thiele) brings explicitly gay representation and ballroom culture to the house dynamic, while Paul Baker (Jack Innanen) routinely rejects labels by identifying as sexually fluid. The two characters’ paths tied together when Canadian-born Paul faced deportation and Anton legally married him to secure a green card—a green-card wedding capped by a surprisingly passionate kiss that fuels subtle romantic tension into Season 2.
Alongside casual, unlabeled attractions among the rest of the crew, Adults captures a world where fluidity is simply the everyday standard.
