
TRIBUTES POUR IN FOR TIRELESS LGBTQ+ ALLY DIRECTOR ROB REINER
The entertainment world and political community are still reeling following the tragic deaths of director, actor, and producer Rob Reiner and his wife, Michelle Reiner, who were found fatally stabbed at their home last month.

“Rob Reiner’s commitment to the LGBTQ+ community was unwavering. He was instrumental during the Prop 8 fight, funding campaigns and using his voice to reach millions. Our community has lost a true hero and friend. We extend our deepest condolences to his family during this unspeakable tragedy.”

LEANN RIMES TO HEADLINE WORLD’S BIGGEST LGBTQ+ SPORTS EVENT
The Sin City Classic Sports Festival, the world’s largest LGBTQ+ sporting event, has announced that Grammy-winning crossover superstar and staunch LGBTQ+ ally LeAnn Rimes will be the inaugural performer for the new Sin City Classic Concert.
Rimes will take the stage at the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on the LINQ Promenade on Sunday, January 18, 2026, just before the festival’s highly anticipated Closing Party.
The 2026 Sin City Classic Sports Festival, hosted annually by the Greater Los Angeles Softball Association (GLASA), runs from January 15-19, 2026, over the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.

MAX PARKER, HONEY MAHOGANY HONORED AT HRC GALA
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) honored actor Max Parker and performer/advocate Honey Mahogany at its annual San Francisco Dinner last month.
The event, which is one of HRC’s premier annual fundraising galas, celebrated the trailblazers for their respective contributions to LGBTQ+ visibility and community building.
Actor Max Parker, who stars in the highly acclaimed Netflix series Boots, was presented with the prestigious HRC Visibility Award.
Performer and advocate Honey Mahogany was celebrated for her tireless work in political and community organizing.

QUEER ICON CYNTHIA ERIVO MAKES GOLDEN GLOBE HISTORY
The openly queer Broadway and Hollywood trailblazer Cynthia Erivo has made history, becoming the first Black woman to secure a second consecutive nomination for Lead Actress in a Motion Picture—Musical or Comedy at the Golden Globe Awards.
Erivo was nominated for her powerful performance as the green-skinned witch Elphaba in the spectacular musical sequel, Wicked: For Good, which hit theaters in November.

BISEXUAL IDENTITY QUADRUPLES AMONG YOUNG AMERICANS
Data shows a dramatic change in identity among young Americans, with the proportion of adults under the age of 35 who identify as bisexual quadrupling in the past decade, reports Gallup.
This surge, primarily driven by Generation Z, highlights a new era of openness regarding non-monosexual identities.
The highest rate of identification is seen among young women, where 5.5% of those under 35 now identify as bisexual.
