LA LGBT Center’s Inaugural Center Ride Out Raises Over $830,000 for Life-Saving Services

The inaugural Center Ride Out successfully concluded its 285-mile journey from Los Angeles to San Diego, raising $830,511 to fund the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s vital healthcare, housing, and advocacy programs.

From April 24–26, 2026, more than 300 cyclists and volunteers carried forward the legacy of AIDS/LifeCycle, beginning with an emotional 110-mile departure from Elysian Park to a “queer summer camp” themed basecamp in Temecula.

This midpoint featured wellness programming and entertainment from RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Willow Pill before riders completed the final 87-mile leg into San Diego’s historic Hillcrest neighborhood.

The event, supported by presenting sponsor Gilead Sciences, not only sustains the Center’s life-saving work but also shares its impact by directing 10 percent of net proceeds to the San Diego LGBT Community Center and The LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert.

This successful debut marks a new chapter for the community-powered movement, ensuring critical support for LGBTQ+ services remains steadfast in the years ahead.

Registration and fundraising for Center Ride Out 2027 are now open. The three-day ride will return April 23–25, 2027.
