The soap opera world is buzzing with news from The Bold and the Beautiful. The CBS show is set to make history by introducing its first-ever gay male couple.
According to reports from Deadline and other sources, actor Harrison Cone is joining the cast in a groundbreaking role. He will be playing a yet-to-be-named character who will be a love interest for Remy Pryce, played by Christian Weissmann.
This new relationship will also mark another first for the show: the first on-screen kiss between a gay male couple.
Harrison Cone’s character is described as an aspiring designer and is said to have a close connection to one of the show’s major families, with his character name being kept under wraps for now.
Cone’s previous acting credits include roles in The Summer I Turned Pretty, American Horror Stories, and Hacks. His first appearance is scheduled for the week of September 15th.
Christian Weissmann’s character, Remy Pryce, was first introduced in late 2024 as a complex, and at times obsessive, character with a connection to Electra Forrester. The recent news of Remy’s new romance has been met with excitement, with Weissmann himself posting on social media about the development.
This storyline is a major step forward for LGBTQ+ representation on the long-running soap, which previously featured a lesbian couple in 2012.
