THE CENTER GALA has announced that Joel Kim Booster, the Emmy- and Independent Spirit Award-nominated writer and Fire Island star, will be this year’s host.
Joel is joined by Grammy, Emmy, and Tony Award-winning and Oscar-nominated actress Cynthia Erivo who will be honored with the Schrader Award and Mickalene Thomas, one of the most influential visual artists of our time, who is receiving the Vanguard Award.
Finally, the Gala will also feature a dynamic musical performance by power pop trio MUNA, who will be honored with the Leslie Jordan Award for Excellence in the Arts.
The event takes place on Saturday, May 18th from 6pm-11pm at the Shrine Auditorium.
