The 11th Annual Queerties Awards: AND THE WINNERS ARE…

The 11th Annual Queerties Awards, the show that recognizes LGBTQ+ creators, tastemakers, storytellers and newsmakers, were held last night at Eden Sunset in Los Angeles.
 
Hosted by comedian Bianca Del Rio, the ceremony featured a diverse slate of LGBTQ+ nominees competing in a variety of categories. Presented by the LGBTQ+ entertainment news site Queerty, it was a star-studded affair, with many of the biggest names in queer Hollywood in attendance, including Joel Kim Booster (Fire Island, Loot) and Ryan O’Connell (Queer as Folk), as well as Rufus Wainright who was on hand to receive the Icon Award and Dylan Mulvaney who was presented with the Groundbreaker Award.

And what is a queer award show without at least a little shade?  The 11th Annual Queerties Awards also awarded its renowned “Girl, Bye” prize, the category that execrates the individual most scorned by the LGBTQ+ community.  The winner of “Girl, Bye” is Kanye West.
