Here Come The Judges

This well rounded group of leather folk will select the next Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2018 on October 27, 2017.

BY RANDY CARMENATY, PSLOD MEDIA/MARKETING
DIRECTOR AND CONTEST CHAIR

For the past 23 years, Palm Springs Leather Order of the Desert (PSLOD) has placed careful thought in selecting a judging panel for the annual Mr. Palm Springs Leather contest.

Throughout the year members of the board PSLOD, forward suggestions along with bios on potential candidates and each one is voted on by the board. However, individually each person has in some way contributed either to their local leather communities or the greater community. Their contributions can be over time or a recent accomplishment that will be remembered for years to come.

While cumulatively we try our best to have a representation of the leather community and its many facets. I am very proud to have asked and thus the following have accepted to judge; Ralph Bruneau (IML 2017, psychologist), Larry Golubski (Mr. Long Beach Leather 2005, IML-runner up 2006, CLAW board member), Jimmy Hicks (Mr. PS Leather 2017), Mystryss Lily Fleur Noir (instructor, promoter), Ahmad Refky (IML contestant handler 2011-15, author), Alan Stroik (President of Avatar LA, Los Angeles Leather Coalition board member), Graylin Thornton (International Mr. Drummer 1993, producer/promoter) and alternate judge Clay Sales (Mr. WA State Leather 2016).

As in years past, myself and the members of PSLOD are confident this well rounded group of leather folk will select the next Mr. Palm Springs Leather 2018 on October 27, 2017.
