The first Thor Love and Thunder trailer has arrived, teasing the dynamic between Thor and the Guardians of the Galaxy, reports Forbes.
One particular scene caught the attention of fans, prompting mass mockery of MCU actor Chris Pratt.
In the trailer, Pratt’s Star-Lord gives his team a pep talk, in which he mentions being inspired by looking into the eyes of the people you love, leading to an awkward moment with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) gazing into Star-Lord’s eyes.
Disney fans, starved of queer representation, immediately understood that the scene would inspire fanfic writers and artists to imagine the two characters in a sexual relationship. On Twitter, this lead to mass mockery of Pratt, as fans imagined his discomfort filming the scene. (Ever since Elliot Page called out Chris Pratt for attending what Page called an “infamously anti-LGBTQ” church, many fans have labeled Pratt a homophobe.)
