Fascinated by the macabre, the avant-garde, the surreal & villainous, Xavier Hamel is an emergent film director from Montréal, Quebec. Meditative works of darkest symbolism & examined morality, questioned narrative & reconciled duality, his films explore anarchy & fear, lust & death, love & salvaged redemption, all in equal measure. His work has also been included in numerous national & international festivals in Montréal, Brussels, Glasgow, Berlin, London, Los Angeles, Sydney and more. Photo credit: Luka Booth.
David Puck (they, them) are a figurative painter and muralist, working in spray paint & oil. Originally from England, and now based in Los Angeles, their work explores queer experience and mental health. Aesthetically they are inspired by the balance and interaction of opposing forces—realism and abstraction, narrative and obfuscation, joy and melancholy. You can see their work in LA at Art Share LA, and various murals including at Angel City Brewery and Low Road City.
