Accent Aigu Entertainment, the production company led by co-founders Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady behind the hit gay hockey romance series Heated Rivalry, has launched a real-life charity directly inspired by the Irina Foundation from the original books.
Designed to champion LGBTQ+ inclusivity, mental well-being, and community-building, the foundation bridges fiction and reality by creating safe, welcoming spaces where people can connect and find support through team sports and the arts. According to the co-founders, the initiative is a heartfelt way to give back to the community and foster the same sense of belonging that their creative projects celebrate.
