Rising actor Zane Phillips (Fire Island, Glamorous) is set to showcase a more vulnerable side in the upcoming indie short film, Something Still, reports Instinct magazine.

Co-starring and written by John Brodsky, the intimate, slow-burn queer drama explores the messy aftermath of a fractured relationship.

The film follows a heartbroken man who returns to the apartment he once shared with his ex-boyfriend.

As the former lovers confront the emotional wreckage of their breakup, old memories resurface – specifically tracing the fallout back to a casual, boundaries-blurring threesome that evolved into deep emotional complications.

Something Still is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Inside Out Toronto 2SLGBTQ+ Film Festival at the TIFF Lightbox on May 30, 2026.

Wider streaming and distribution details have not yet been announced following its festival run.
