This year marks a momentous milestone as we celebrate 25 years of the Mr. Los Angeles Leather Contest and reflect on a community legacy spanning over seven decades. From the 1954 founding of the Satyrs MC and the 1958 birth of the Oedipus Motorcycle Club, Los Angeles has served as the bedrock of global leather culture.

Our city’s unique blend of gritty history and Hollywood magic helped forge the visual identity of the gay leather community worldwide. For many, a movie or music video was the first place they saw a leather-clad heartthrob, signaling a beacon for them to live authentically. Inspired by this legacy of cinema, music, and sound, our theme this year is “Cruising: The Boulevard of Erotic Dreams.”

Cruising is, at its heart, about connection—the call of the road, the parting glance from a leather-clad stranger, and finding a community that celebrates your sexual needs and desires.

We invite you to gear up and connect with friends, old and new, from Sunday, March 22 to Sunday, March 29, 2026.

The kickoff for celebration of 25 years of Mr. Los Angeles Leather and LA Leather Pride will be on Sunday, March 22nd, at The Bullet Bar, at 10522 Burbank Blvd, North Hollywood, from 3 PM to 7 PM.  The legendary Satyrs Motorcycle Club will be on-hand riding in with this year’s contestants “pillion-style.”

This party is just one of many events between March 21st and 29th.  with additional parties sponsored by Avatar LA and DenLA. Whether you’re in the mood for a formal leather cocktail function, dancing in fetish wear, or some quality kinky play-time events, there’s something for everyone at LA Leather Pride’s weeklong celebration.

Pride has always been about visibility and activism, and this year, it is vital. Currently, the LGBTQIA+ and immigrant communities are facing unprecedented attacks on our rights and lives. Saturday, March 28th, marks the next “No Kings” national day of protest—projected to be the largest in our nation’s history.

In solidarity, we have made a significant change to our schedule: we will not hold a contest on Saturday. Visibility and unity in the face of injustice matter. We want our contestants, supporters, and guests to have the opportunity to stand with their communities on this historic day of protest.

The Mr. Los Angeles Leather 2026 Contest will now take place on Sunday, March 29, at Highways Performance Space & Gallery in Santa Monica.

Highways has been at the forefront of LGBTQIA+ activism for decades, making it the perfect venue to crown our new titleholder following Saturday’s rallies.

Join us to “cruise the boulevard” and celebrate LA Leather’s history by welcoming our newest representative. Let’s prove that unifying for a common cause is the true nature of Pride.
