Early industry commentary from Instinct Magazine highlights Those Who Prosper as a “sinfully complicated” and “brutally honest” short film already generating buzz this April.

Starring Nico Greetham (American Horror Stories) and writer-director Tony Tacheny, the 13-minute drama unflinchingly explores the intersection of LGBTQ+ identity and the psychological toll of purity culture within charismatic megachurches.

While the film serves as a proof-of-concept for a future feature and TV series, the short’s official premiere is set for this summer:

  • Los Angeles Screening: The official screening and Q&A with the cast and crew is scheduled for June 2026 at the Fine Arts Theatre in Beverly Hills (as part of its initial festival and backer circuit).

  • Availability: Digital downloads for crowdfunding backers are expected to release in May 2026.

The production has earned praise for its “raw emotionality,” tracking a college freshman’s descent into religious self-destruction after falling for a pastoral prodigy.
