Brooklyn’s celebrated nightlife destination ANIMAL has officially crossed the country, opening its highly anticipated second venue in Los Angeles last month.
Located in Downtown Los Angeles’ vibrant Arts District, the new West Coast outpost marks a major expansion for the independent brand, bringing its renowned inclusive energy and high-caliber DJ lineups directly to Eastside LA’s thriving LGBTQ+ scene.
Since establishing its flagship space on the Greenpoint-Williamsburg border in New York, ANIMAL built a national reputation for prioritizing radical community inclusion, genre-defying music programming, and late-night dance floors. The Los Angeles expansion builds on that legacy while fully embracing the Arts District’s industrial aesthetic and indoor-outdoor culture.
Rather than duplicating the compact footprint of the East Coast original, the Arts District venue takes advantage of a multi-functional space tailored for Downtown LA:
