The Los Angeles LGBT Center’s Queerceañera Returns Oct. 5 with Drag Superstar Kandy Muse

On Saturday, October 5th, the Los Angeles LGBT Center’s annual Queerceañera returns for a celebration bigger and bolder than ever.

Spotlighting LA’s queer Latinx community, Queerce will once again offer a gender and expression-inclusive reimagining of the quinceañera tradition. RuPaul’s Drag Race alum Salina EsTitties will preside as the inaugural Madrina (“godmother” in Spanish) of ceremonies, joining honoree and drag superstar Kandy Muse.

Building on 2023’s massive inaugural launch, Queerce is a lively culturally immersive experience that blends traditional customs with a modern twist. The larger-than-life soirée will benefit Mi Centro, a sanctuary for Latinx LGBTQ+ individuals in Boyle Heights and surrounding Eastside communities.

In addition to a heartwarming stage program in Renberg Theatre, guests will enjoy an editorial portrait studio, booming dance floor, and complimentary food rooted in Latin flavors. The evening will conclude with a post-program offering cocktails and a special court dance with LA-nightlife-favorite Queerchata.

Free food vouchers will be available to the first 100 guests to check in. The event is all ages, guests 21+ will receive a wristband at the door.
