After winning the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2017, Barry Jenkins’s Moonlight is headed to Netflix in America. The film, which is a three-part delving into the life a Black man as he comes of age, is set in Miami and will debut on May 21, reports Out.com.
The film is based on Tarell Alvin McCraney’s unpublished semi-autobiographical play In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue. It stars Trevante Rhodes, André Holland, Janelle Monáe, Ashton Sanders, Jharrel Jerome, Naomie Harris, and Mahershala Ali.
