Scene from “Stay With Me”
The psychological horror short film Stay With Me is generating significant buzz on the festival circuit with its unique, eerie lens on queer storytelling.
Directed by Kristen Laffey and starring Devin Way and Ben Church, the narrative follows Miles, a man attempting to open his heart to a new romance with Ben a year after surviving a harrowing and traumatic past relationship.
However, the film puts a chilling spin on the traditional ghost story format as Miles becomes plagued by haunting, spectral visions that threaten to sabotage his present.
Following its selections at events like FilmOut San Diego and the Oslo/Fusion International Film Festival, the short is next set to screen at Atlanta’s prestigious, Academy Award-qualifying LGBTQ+ film festival, Out On Film.
Because the project is currently actively touring the competitive international festival circuit, an official nationwide public streaming release date has not yet been announced, as short films typically premiere on curated independent VOD platforms only after completing their festival runs.
