Menswear designer and founder of sheehanandcompany.com Daniel Sheehan, 41, confides in an interview with THE FIGHT that “Daddy has been my nickname for a LONG TIME! Kind of close to Danny. I have been in leadership roles and a business owner for the better part of 2 decades.  My employees have always affectionately called me Daddy or in Spanish Papi…  I am a Daddy because I am leader, a protector, and a provider, and well I kind of look like Daddy with these grey locks.”

The youngest of four siblings Sheehan, originally from Long Island, reveals that “my mother used to go to the Miss Fire Island competition with her gay friends… My father was a NYC police officer and both of my older brothers are cops and my sister is an attorney. I was always blessed to have some pretty smart and tough cheerleaders on my side growing up.”

Regarding his company Sheehan states that he is “very proud of the business that I have just opened and the statement we are making about American clothing manufacturing.”

“At 41 years old its difficult to make a change and swim up stream.  I am proud to show how relevant I can be as I approach middle age.  My online store is an  example of my lifestyle and personal taste. I am proud to show that 41 can look good and that Daddy is the new black, or in my case silver is the new black.”
