Former Faultline Owner Jorge Usatorres Honored with Certificate of Commendation by City of Los Angeles

City of Los Angeles Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell presented Jorge Usatorres, the financial executive responsible for rebranding and reviving the Faultline bar, with a City of Los Angeles Certificate of Commendation after Usatorres set up two scholarship awards for LGBTQI students at Los Angeles City College as a parting show of appreciation shortly after he sold the bar in May, which he purchased in 2014.

“I’m deeply humbled by this recognition and to have it come from such an amazing guy like Mitch O’Farrel is beyond belief,” Usatorres posted on his Facebook page. “Thank you very much to my LGBTQ community especially Johnny Cruz of the Spectrum LGBT Alliance at LACC and Capt. Jeff Nolte! You guys rock!” He added.

The Los Angeles Foundation provides scholarships and opportunities to LACC students so that they may continue to excel in their educational careers. Scholarships are provided by the generosity of independent donors, LACC alumni and the campus community. To apply for a scholarship, visit:
