City of West Hollywood to Observe “Bi+ Visibility Week” September 16 through 23

The City of West Hollywood will celebrate Bi+ Visibility Week, which commences on Saturday, September 16, 2023 and runs through Saturday, September 23, 2023. The City’s recognitions during this week are intended to raise the visibility and increase awareness of the bi+ community.

These include:

Street Lanterns: The City’s lanterns over Santa Monica Boulevard will be lit in pink, purple, and blue, which are the colors of the bi+ pride flag, in homage to the community. West Hollywood City Hall will also be lit with the same colors.

Pride Flags: Bi+ pride flags will be flown on the City’s medians where flags are currently displayed. Additionally, bi+ pride flags will be displayed on the rooftop of City Hall and at Plummer Park.

On Saturday, September 23, 2023, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. the community is invited to a free, outdoor Bi+ Ice Cream Social at Plummer Park’s Fuller Lawn, located at 7377 Santa Monica Boulevard. Attendees are encouraged to bring a blanket, some snacks or food, and co-mingle with members of the bi+ community. The event will feature a DJ and free lawn games. In addition, the City will be providing a limited number of free ice cream to those who are attending the picnic.
