Eduardo Adrián Morales Lobaina, a 24-year-old from La Línea de la Concepción, was crowned Mr. Gay Spain 2025 this month at a dazzling gala in Madrid. Beyond the sash and glitter, Morales Lobaina’s victory carries a profound message of hope and advocacy for LGBTQ+ youth across Spain, particularly in smaller, more conservative communities.

Born in La Línea de la Concepción with strong Cuban roots from his mother’s side, Morales Lobaina proudly represents both his Andalusian heritage and his family’s origin. His personal journey, which included experiencing bullying for his sexual orientation and height (he’s nearly 6’4″), has fueled his passion for creating safer, more inclusive environments for young people.

Upon receiving his title, Morales Lobaina dedicated his win to “those who cannot yet raise their voices.”

He emphasized his commitment to combating LGBTQIphobia through education, particularly within schools and institutes.

His platform, “Pride in My Town” (#OrgulloEnMiPueblo), champions inclusive sexual education from early childhood, aiming to transform schools into havens rather than battlegrounds for LGBTQ+ individuals.

“Hatred is fought with education,” Morales Lobaina declared during the ceremony, earning thunderous applause. He stressed the urgent need to address the pain of young people who are silenced or targeted, advocating for a societal shift that embraces respect and understanding regardless of identity or orientation.

Morales Lobaina, who currently works as a sales associate, plans to leverage his new platform to meet with education ministers and drive his vision for widespread, inclusive education across Spain. His blend of personal narrative, charisma, and unwavering dedication to social change promises to make his reign as Mr. Gay Spain 2025 impactful.
