Actor Tom Holland was reportedly hospitalized after sustaining a concussion on the set of the upcoming film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
According to multiple reports, the incident occurred during a stunt at Leavesden Studios in Watford, England, leading to a temporary halt in production.
Holland, who is known for performing many of his own stunts, reportedly suffered a mild concussion after a fall. An ambulance was called to the set, and the actor was transported to a hospital for further care. A woman, believed to be a stunt double, was also taken to the hospital.
While the injury is not considered life-threatening, Holland is expected to take a short break from filming as a precaution.
His father, Dominic Holland, confirmed that his son would be away from the set “for a while.”
Despite the injury, Holland appeared at a charity event in London the day after the incident, although reports indicate he left early after feeling ill.
The incident has prompted discussions between Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios to determine the best way to move forward with the production schedule.
