Following Arrest, Gay Artist Lil Nas X Enters Undisclosed Rehab Facility

At a court hearing on Monday, it was revealed that Lil Nas X is currently in an undisclosed inpatient rehabilitation facility outside of California, following his arrest last month on multiple felony charges.

The artist, whose real name is Montero Hill, was charged with three felony counts of battery with injury on a police officer and one felony count of resisting an executive officer.

The arrest occurred on August 21 after police responded to reports of a person walking erratically and partially clothed on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles. According to police reports, when officers approached the artist, he allegedly became confrontational and charged at them.

Authorities claim he then used “force and violence” to inflict an injury on three of the responding officers. The incident was partially captured on video by passersby, with some footage showing the rapper acting erratically and speaking to the person recording him before the police encounter.

After being taken into custody, Lil Nas X was first transported to a local hospital for a possible overdose before being booked into a county jail. He spent three days in custody before being released on a $75,000 bail and has since pleaded not guilty to all charges.

In a video posted to his social media after his release, he assured fans, “Your girl is gonna be okay…That was a terrifying last four days, but your girl is going to be all right.”

His lawyer, Drew Findling, told reporters that the focus is on the rapper’s “well-being” and that he is “surrounded by an amazing family and an amazing team of people.”

The next court date is scheduled for November 18.
