The new upcoming series, titled Heated Rivalry, is poised to be a major TV event, centering on a long-standing, intense, and deeply secret gay affair between two star hockey players from bitter rival teams.

The limited six-part series is adapted from Rachel Reid’s best-selling cult classic novel.

The lead roles are filled by emerging actors, whose off-screen chemistry has already built major fan buzz:

  • Hudson Williams stars as Shane Hollander, the serious-minded captain of the Montreal Meteors.

  • Connor Storrie stars as Ilya Rozanov, the Russian-born star and notorious “playboy” of the Boston Raiders.

The ensemble cast also features established actors, including François Arnaud, Sophie Nélisse(Yellowjackets), Dylan Walsh, and Christina Chang.

The show is a Crave Original Series and is confirmed to launch in Canada in November (an exact date is expected soon).

While an official international release date has not yet been announced, the excitement generated by the project suggests it will be a highly anticipated addition to the global queue of queer-focused streaming content.
