Community champions and business leaders are set to attend Radiant Health Centers‘ marquee annual gala on February 6.
With its Back to the Future theme, Orange County’s most influential advocates and change makers will virtually come together for a fun and engaging digital evening celebrating the past, present and future of Radiant Health Centers. Radiant Health Centers saw an increase in demand for its services in 2020 with many community members’ struggles exacerbated by the pandemic. The virtual gala will provide an opportunity for community members to rally behind the organization with money raised going directly to providing specialized, stigma-free medical and social services for the LGBTQ+ community.
Highlighting the night will be the first presentation of the Radiant Compassion Award, which honors individuals or organizations promoting compassion, acceptance and kindness. Receiving the inaugural Radiant Compassion Award will be Jeanne and Gideon Bernstein, who launched the #BlazeItForward movement in honor of their son Blaze Bernstein to make the world a better place through intentional acts of kindness. Through #BlazeItForward, Jeanne and Gideon have cultivated a community of do-gooders that are actively making the world a kinder, more compassionate place.
“Although this year’s gala will look different, the purpose remains the same-to bring us together to support those most in need” said Philip Yaeger, Radiant Health Centers’ CEO “I’m thrilled that are able to honor Jeanne and Gideon for their mission to fight hate with love. Their efforts have inspired so many to spread love, hope and kindness, and we are excited to celebrate them as the first Radiant Compassion Award recipients.”
Throughout 2020, Radiant Health Centers has reimagined how it provides its programs and services to clients. This creativity prompted Radiant Health Centers to launch at-home and drive-up HIV testing services, expand telehealth appointments, and family planning services, while continuing to offer social services around housing needs, food insecurities and mental health issues that have grown three-fold over the past year.
Orange County’s premier corporations have already stepped up to show their support. Avita Pharmacy, Gilead, Janssen, Pacific Life and Union Bank have supported health equity by providing generous financial support through their sponsorship of this year’s gala.
The public can support the event by purchasing tickets, hosting a safe and socially distanced watch party or sponsoring the event. To donate, purchase tickets or view corporate sponsorship levels, visit www.radianthealthcenters.org/gala.
