In honor of the 2018 Pride celebration in West Hollywood on June 8, 9, and 10, the City of West Hollywood’s free shuttle to Hollywood and Highland, CityLineX, and the City’s free weekend nighttime and Sunday Funday ride, The PickUp, will get together and become “Pride Ride” for the weekend.
Pride Ride will offer a safe and convenient way to and from rail service at Hollywood and Highland and destinations in the City of West Hollywood, travelling along Santa Monica Boulevard between Robertson Boulevard and La Brea Avenue at approximately 15-minute intervals. Pride Ride service will be offered on Friday, June 8, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 3 a.m.; on Saturday, June 9, 2018, from 11 a.m. to 3 a.m.; and on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2 p.m to 2 a.m. In Hollywood, CityLineX vehicles stop on Highland Avenue (just south of Hollywood Boulevard on the west side of the street.
On Friday, June 8, 2018, Pride Ride will provide service for the West Hollywood Dyke March and the Trans Party and #SIZZLE events from 1 p.m. to 3 a.m. CityLineX shuttles will offer service to and from Hollywood and Highland from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., with an additional shuttle to Hollywood and Highland departing after the conclusion of Dyke March activities at 10:00 p.m. The PickUp will operate on its normal schedule, from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., along Santa Monica Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to Robertson Boulevard.
On Saturday, June 9, 2018, Pride Ride will operate from 11 a.m. to
3 a.m. During these hours, CityLineX vehicles will provide service around West Hollywood and to and from Hollywood and Highland from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and connecting service from The Pickup stops at Santa Monica Boulevard/Fairfax Avenue or Santa Monica Boulevard/Crescent Heights Boulevard from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. The PickUp will operate on its normal schedule, from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., along Santa Monica Boulevard from La Brea Avenue to Robertson Boulevard.
On Sunday, June 10, 2018, the annual Pride Parade will step-off at 11 a.m. from the intersection of Santa Monica and Crescent Heights Boulevards and travel westbound along Santa Monica Boulevard, ending at Robertson Boulevard. Following the parade and once the streets have cleared, The PickUp will run in a continuous loop from La Brea Avenue to Kings Road from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., before resuming its regular route from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. Pride Ride/Hollywood Link will provide a connection between Fairfax and Santa Monica Boulevard, and Hollywood and Highland from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Pride-goers may also take one of several Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) bus lines that connect to the City of West Hollywood.
