Global icon Bad Bunny turned his 2026 Grammy win into a powerful political statement, speaking out against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) during the live broadcast.
While accepting the award for Best Música Urbana Album for Debí Tirar Más Fotos, the Puerto Rican superstar addressed the live broadcast audience with a blunt demand for reform. “ICE out,” the singer declared from the stage. “We’re not savages. We’re not animals. We’re not aliens. We are humans, and we are Americans.”
Directly addressing the recent surge in aggressive enforcement tactics, he urged for a shift in how the migrant community is treated.
“The hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love,” he said, calling for “dignity and respect” for those in detention. “We don’t hate them; we love our people, we love our family. And that’s the way to do it – with love.”
The speech adds a significant new chapter to the artist’s long history of activism, further cementing his role as a leading voice for the marginalized in 2026.
