Alberto Navarro is a queer Latino artist based in Los Angeles.
Deeply influenced by his heritage and experiences growing up as a queer Latino in L.A., Alberto explores identity reclamation through mixed media collages, paintings, and sculpture.His work critically engages with themes of consumerism, mass production, and popular culture, while also reflecting on the role of religion in shaping society.
The Opening Reception for his exhibition – Albs World – Solo Art Show – takes place tomorrow – Saturday, Oct 5, 6pm-9pm, at the DTLA Proud Community Center, at The Bloc, 700 Flower St, Suite G80 in Los Angeles (behind Starbucks).
