Scene from “Heated Rivalry”
Production on the highly anticipated second season of Heated Rivalry is set to begin this summer.
Showrunner Jacob Tierney broke the news during a live interview on CBS Mornings on Thursday, February 26, alongside executive producer Brendan Brady.
The duo confirmed that filming will commence in August, aiming for an April 2027 release on the streaming schedule.
Tierney, the multifaceted creator behind the beloved hockey drama, emphasized his commitment to delivering the next chapter of the story without delay.
While the 2027 release date may feel far off for eager “Ilya and Shane” enthusiasts, Tierney reassured the audience that the production is moving “as soon as humanly possible” to bring the queer sports romance back to the screen.
