On December 30, 2025, comedian Joel Kim Booster married John Michael Sudsina at San Francisco’s Exploratorium, an interactive science museum.
The couple, together since 2021, celebrated with a vibrant, science-themed production that prioritized Korean traditions and a high-energy party atmosphere.
Booster incorporated Korean wedding traditions, including his best man carrying wooden Mandarin ducks—symbols of lifelong fidelity—down the aisle.
Las Culturistas stars Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers served as groomsmen and delivered a legendary “joint toast.”
Notable guests included Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Ron Funches, Zane Phillips, and Mitra Jouhari.
The couple met in Puerto Vallarta in 2021 (the setting that inspired Booster’s film Fire Island).
Booster proposed in Jeju Island, South Korea, in September 2024.
