Max Parker, “Boots”
The Human Rights Campaign (HRC)—the nation’s LGBTQ+ civil rights organization—announced today, that it will honor actor Max Parker and performer/advocate Honey Mahogany at its annual San Francisco Dinner.
The event, which is one of HRC’s premier annual fundraising galas, will celebrate the trailblazers for their respective contributions to LGBTQ+ visibility and community building.
Actor Max Parker, who stars in the highly acclaimed Netflix series BOOTS, will be presented with the prestigious HRC Visibility Award.
The award recognizes Parker’s significant role in advancing LGBTQ+ representation on screen and for his commitment to bringing essential community history to life.
BOOTS, which details the intense environment of a 1990s Marine Corps boot camp and the struggles of its queer recruits, has been widely praised for its authentic and powerful storytelling, making Parker a key figure in the current landscape of queer drama.
San Francisco native, performer, and prominent LGBTQ+ advocate Honey Mahogany will be presented with the HRC Community Impact Award.
Mahogany is being honored for her deep commitment to building up the local LGBTQ+ community and for her pioneering work as a trailblazer for the city’s transgender population. Her work extends across performance, activism, and local politics, making her one of San Francisco’s most influential and cherished queer voices.
The event takes place on Saturday, December 6, 2025 at 5pm.
