“BE HEARD”: A MESSAGE OF RESILIENCE AND HOPE
In a time when LGBTQ+ voices face mounting challenges and our fundamental rights are under siege, the 2025 Palm Springs Pride theme “Be Heard” takes on profound significance. This is more than a celebration—it’s a rallying cry, a declaration that our community will not be silenced, diminished, or erased.
“When we gather in Palm Springs for Pride, we’re doing something revolutionary: we’re claiming space, amplifying our stories, and refusing to hide,” says Ron deHarte, President and CEO of Palm Springs Pride. “Every person who attends, every float in the parade, every performer on our stages—they’re all saying the same thing: we exist, we matter, and we will be heard.”
A Festival Born from Resistance
Palm Springs Pride is rooted in the legacy of those who courageously fought for equality and are no longer with us. As we sip, sashay, and celebrate, we honor the activists, artists, and everyday heroes who refused to live in the shadows. Their courage paved the way for this moment—and their spirit fuels our determination to keep pushing forward.
In 2025, as legislative attacks on LGBTQ+ rights escalate nationwide, Pride is not just a party. It’s an act of defiance. It’s proof that joy is a form of resistance, that visibility is a source of power, and that community is our greatest strength.
Inclusivity as Our Foundation
The festival’s FREE admission ensures that Pride remains accessible to everyone, regardless of their economic circumstance. The Children’s Headquarters and Youth Zone affirm our commitment to LGBTQ+ youth, sending a powerful message: you belong here, you are celebrated here, and your future is bright.
Palm Canyon Drive serves as a living testament to diversity, where people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities come together to celebrate authenticity and promote the cause of individual freedom for all.
Palm Springs: A Sanctuary of Pride
Known for its crystal blue skies and year-round sunshine, Palm Springs has long been a sanctuary for LGBTQ+ individuals. Palm Springs is home to some of the best LGBTQ+ bars, restaurants, and friendly businesses, making it a vibrant community where everyone can live their truth.
This Pride Weekend, we invite the world to experience what makes Palm Springs extraordinary: a place where diversity isn’t just tolerated, it’s celebrated and cherished. Where love isn’t conditional, it’s unconditional. And where our collective voice rings out loud and clear: we are here, we are queer, and we will be heard.
