Queer Eye star and culture expert Karamo Brown was the special guest on Bravo’s late-night talk show, Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, where he passionately addressed the constant online criticism and speculation celebrities face regarding their appearance, photos, and alleged plastic surgery.

Appearing alongside Real Housewives of Potomac newcomer Tia Glover, the conversation shifted to the difference between a celebrity’s look on screen versus their online photos. Brown did not hold back in condemning the culture of judgmental comments.

“I wish people would stop commenting on people’s photos,” Brown told Cohen. “It’s ridiculous and tacky.”

Brown revealed the extensive and often contradictory nature of the comments he receives daily, which fueled his frustration with online critics:

Denying surgery he said: “The way people comment on my photos… I’ve had every plastic surgery. I’ve had everything. They’ve told me I had facelifts, nose jobs… It’s all real.

While dismissing the surgery rumors, Brown candidly admitted that he does enhance his images for social media:

“I do edit them because I like to smooth out my eyes, but I do think that we need to stop commenting on people’s photos, period.”

Brown emphasized that whether a photo is edited or not, the focus should be on ending the negative, critical commentary directed at individuals’ physical appearances online.
