Time Warp, Again! Luke Evans to Star in “The Rocky Horror Show” Broadway Revival

Luke Evans

Luke Evans, the acclaimed out Welsh actor and singer, is poised to make his long-awaited Broadway debut in the role of the “sweet transvestite” scientist, Dr. Frank-N-Furter, in the revival of The Rocky Horror Show.

The Roundabout Theatre Company is producing the limited engagement, which is the first Broadway revival of the show in over 20 years.

Evans is no stranger to the stage, having an extensive career in London’s West End, including roles in musicals such as Rent and Miss Saigon.

Director Sam Pinkleton promises a revival worthy of the show’s legendary cult status, stating he hopes to “open a dimension to another possible reality” at Studio 54 with a production that is “joyous, unfathomable, straight from outer space.”

Original creator Richard O’Brien (who also played Riff Raff in the film) enthusiastically endorsed the news, telling fans to “Break out the fishnets and let’s have a party.”

The musical, famous for its infectious rock-and-roll score and songs like “Time Warp,” “Dammit Janet,” and “Sweet Transvestite,” tells the story of an innocent couple, Brad and Janet, whose car breaks down outside Frank-N-Furter’s bizarre castle.

Tickets for the Broadway revival of The Rocky Horror Show are going on sale to the general public today, Friday, October 31, 2025.
