Pete Buttigieg Exposes GOP’s Secret Shame

Last week, out former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg (a presumptive 2028 presidential candidate) accused Indiana Republicans of resisting months of pressure from President Donald Trump and J.D. Vance to redraw the state’s congressional maps for a “further unfair advantage” in the next midterm elections.

In a social media video, Buttigieg argued that the GOP’s inaction—despite their supermajority—stems from a “shame” over the demand.

He claimed the intense White House lobbying, including Vance’s personal visits to the deep-red state, proves that Indiana Republicans “know deep down” the gerrymandering scheme is wrong.

“I think the reason they haven’t done it is that they are ashamed of what Donald Trump and JD Vance are asking them to do,” said Buttigieg.
