Andrew Rannells had a big weekend. The multi-talented actor was a guest of honor at the LA Pride Parade, serving as its celebrity grand marshal, recognizing his trailblazing work on stage and screen.
Rannells also celebrated the theatrical premiere of his new dark comedy, I Don’t Understand You. In the film, he starred alongside Nick Kroll as daddies-to-be on a romantic “babymoon” to Italy that took a very wrong turn.
Additionally, it was Tony Awards weekend, a significant event for Rannells, a Broadway veteran with credits including Hairspray, The Book of Mormon, and Hamilton.
His busy schedule also included a recent appearance in the sequel Another Simple Favor and the final season of Netflix’s Big Mouth.
Upcoming projects featured a reunion with Lena Dunham in her comedy Too Much and his co-hosting gig on The Great American Baking Show with Casey Wilson.
In an interview with Queerty Rannells discussed the Broadway show that helped him understand his sexuality, attempting stunts for I Don’t Understand You, and his role in Too Much, where he played a different dynamic with Dunham.
