In the video, the “Old Town Road” artist, Montero Lamar Hill, showed fans his difficulty controlling the right side of his face, even while attempting a full smile.Though he’s in a hospital gown, he seemed optimistic, even joking that he “can’t even laugh right.”
Support poured in from fans and celebrities, including actress Taraji P. Henson who commented, “Get well baby.”
Many commenters speculated that his condition might be Bell’s palsy, a temporary facial muscle weakness that can cause drooping, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Lil Nas X reassured his followers on his Instagram story, telling them he’s okay and not to be sad for him.
In a Tuesday update, he shared a short video with the caption, “Smile getting a lil better,” showing some improvement in his ability to smile and wink.
