Proud Marys Keep Returning: Celebrity Ghost Hunters Find a Gay Spirit. WATCH!

Ghost hunting, with its focus on the occult, uncovering hidden histories, and facilitating transitions between realms, exhibits distinctly queer characteristics.

A web series, Ghosting, elevates this concept by featuring a gay ghost-hunting team. Actors Luke Hutchie and Matthew Finlan explore Canada’s purportedly haunted sites with celebrity guests, documenting their paranormal investigations.

A recent episode gained viral attention on TikTok, amassing over 720,000 views and 145,000 likes. While investigating Fort Henry in Kingston, Ontario, Hutchie, Finlan, and Riverdale actor Jordan Cooper encountered a spirit that appeared to respond affirmatively to a romantic proposition.

When Hutchie asked if the ghost would allow Finlan to “kiss” it, a sensor device registered a response. Subsequently, as Finlan approached the sensor, it activated again, suggesting a positive interaction. Cooper remarked, “I think we have a gay ghost who has a crush on you.”

Ghosting features a variety of queer guests throughout its two seasons, including Canada’s Drag Racestars Priyanka and Synthia Kiss, Frankie Grande and his husband Hale, and numerous Canadian actors.
